COVID-19 is spreading within communities across Virginia and across the United States. Because travel increases your chances of getting infected and spreading COVID-19, staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others from getting sick.
VDH advises all Virginians to stay home as much as possible, especially if your trip is not essential or if you are at higher risk of serious illness.
If traveling out of state, you are encouraged to check, in advance, the other state for any travel restrictions in effect for that state.
WHAT IF I'M RETURNING FROM INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL?
As of August 13, 2020, Virginia does not have any quarantine requirements for people arriving in the Commonwealth from other U.S. or international locations. If you have traveled internationally and are returning home, consider taking these precautions:
Stay home as much as possible
Avoid being around people at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19
Consider getting tested for COVID-19
